Handcrafted Soul. Authentic Folk Resonance.
Step into the world of pure, unfiltered Southern folk tradition with our signature Smoke Box Guitar. Individually hand-carved, engineered, and assembled by veteran studio musician and artisan luthier James "Jimmy James" Daugherty, each instrument is a playable piece of acoustic art.
Built using custom-selected wooden boxes and specialized internal resonators, this 3-string lap Dobro captures that classic, hauntingly beautiful acoustic slide tone. It is perfect for blues players, roots music enthusiasts, and collectors who appreciate the raw, historical character of traditional American folk stringed instruments.
Product Features & Craftsmanship:
- Artisan Quality: Handcrafted under The Jimmy James Collection right here in Navarre, Florida. Every guitar features its own unique wood grain, structural resonance, and physical history.
- The Perfect Slide Instrument: Strung and balanced as a lap Dobro, this 3-string setup is designed for incredible ease of play, allowing you to easily lock into open tunings and lay down smooth, soul-stirring slide licks.
- Studio-Grade Background: Engineered by a lifetime professional musician.
- A Stunning Conversation Piece: When you aren't playing, these guitars double as gorgeous, rustic interior decor pieces for any home, music room, or studio space.
